About Me
What do I do?
I guess you could call me a Front End Developer / Designer / WordPress Developer hybrid? Unfortunately, that doesn’t really fit on a name plate, or resume too well so I would rather refer to myself as a problem solver for the web. I like to wear a lot of different hats because it keeps things interesting for me, and to be honest I don’t think I could pick a single aspect of the web to work on for the rest of my life. I currently work at Astonish as a hybrid designer / developer where I help maintain our cluster of 400+ WordPress sites for our clients, as well as design WordPress themes for us to use for new clients. I also design and build “one off” custom WordPress sites for our enterprise level clients.
Who am I?
I recently graduated from Johnson & Wales University in may 2013 with a degree in graphic design & digital media with a concentration in emerging web technologies. I currently live in Providence, RI where I have lived for the past 5 years now, but I am originally from Westchester, NY. If I’m not busy building awesome stuff for the web you can probably find me enjoying one of the following:
- Playing Drums
- Harry’s (best sliders in the world)
- Watching some baseball (go Yankees!)
- Hanging out with my rabbits
- Grabbing a brew at the local watering hole
Why WordPress?
I have already mentioned WordPress a few times because it is my bread and butter when it comes to CMS. I’ve been building sites exclusively on top of WordPress ever since I discovered it 4 years ago while I was freelancing during college. Its documentation, scalability, ease of use, and community is unmatched by any other CMS out there, so it really feels like a no brainer for me to use it.
